She said she felt she had “missed the bus” a long time ago and that’s why she couldn’t have a big family, but she did want to try for a second kid. “I feel like I’ve missed the bus, so I can’t have a large family,” she said. I ought to have begun much earlier. However, I can always attempt to conceive again.

Rani Mukerji lost her second pregnancy due to a miscarriage during the COVID-19 epidemic. She made this revelation for the first time when she spoke at the Melbourne Indian Film Festival in 2023. She said that she decided not to tell it sooner because she didn’t want it to seem like she was taking advantage of her film’s marketing. Maybe this is the first time she is revealing this, as she put it: “In today’s society, everything about you is spoken about in public and used as a pretext to speak about your movie in order to attract more viewers. Naturally, I refrained from discussing this when I was advertising the movie, as it would have seemed like I was attempting to talk about a personal experience that would advance the plot.In other words, it was about the time of COVID-19. 2020 was the year. At the end of 2020, I became pregnant with my second child, but sadly, I lost him or her five months into the pregnancy.
Continuing the conversation, Rani described how, 10 days after her loss, she got the screenplay for “Mrs. Chatterjee vs. Norway.” The producer, Nikkhil Advani, phoned her and told her the narrative; she immediately connected with it. Rani reflected on this and said, “Nikkhil (Advani) would have called me probably ten days after I lost my baby.” When he told me the tale, I sort of instantly Not that I had to experience the death of a kid to feel the feeling, but sometimes a movie comes out at the perfect moment to relate to what you are going through on a personal level.
